The bookstore Shakespeare & Company in Paris lets aspiring writers stay on its second floor free in exchange for a few hours of work a day. (via NYT)
I remember going to one of these in Colorado, and it was seriously the best book store ever.

Ahh, I’ve been to this bookstore. It was so magical.

I used to daydream about running off to Paris and staying at the Shakespeare & Company bookstore while working on my novel…  I knew a couple people in Paris, so I actually started to seriously consider it at one point, but I never went.  *le sigh*  Well, I plan to see it someday at the very least.
